Stop messages on one channel

A public service of Undevia. No account, no sign-in, and nothing asked for that is not needed to stop the messages.

This stops one channel and not the others. If you ask us to stop sending text messages we will still email you where we have an address, because going silent is not what you asked for. Notices you are entitled to receive, such as your water being switched off, are not stopped by this and are marked as such where they are sent.

Already have a reference? Type it in below and the instruction is shown, with the way to start the messages again beside it.

Or open /public/notifications/ with your reference on the end.

Stopping messages on one channel

Stops us sending to you on one way of reaching you, with no account and nothing asked for that is not needed. It takes effect the moment you file it, and it can be undone.

Per channel is the whole point. Stopping text messages is not asking us to go quiet: where we hold another way of reaching you, we will use that one instead.

Which channel should we stop using
The one way of reaching you that stops. Three to choose from: text message (SMS), email and WhatsApp. Whichever you pick, the others carry on.
The number or address we have been reaching you on
Write it as you normally would. An address we do not hold against any account is still accepted and still honoured: nothing is refused here for being unfamiliar to us.
Why, if you want to say (optional)
Optional, and it changes nothing about whether the instruction is honoured. It is read by the utility this lands with, so it is worth saying if something prompted it.
Stop messaging me there
Files the instruction and stops that channel from the next message onward. There is nothing to confirm and no link you have to click first, and your reference is shown the moment it is recorded rather than waiting on a message reaching you.
This stops one channel and not the others
Notices you are entitled to receive, such as your water being switched off, are not stopped by this and say so where they are sent. Everything else on that channel stops.
Asking twice
A second ask about a channel already stopped is answered from the instruction you already have, with its reference, rather than filing a new one beside it.
Already have a reference?
Type the reference and press Look it up to open an instruction you filed earlier, to read it or to start the messages again. It is matched exactly as it was issued to you, so type it the way it was given.
If it is refused
There is a limit on how many of these one connection may file in an hour. Over it, you are told so in words and nothing is filed and nothing thrown away. Telephone the utility if you cannot wait for the hour.

On a slow or expensive connection? Use the light version, which leaves out maps and pictures and still lets you report anything.
